I was born and raised in Westhampton Beach, New York (Where my first job at the age of 13 was in a prestigious salon as a shampoo girl).
I lived in Minot, North Dakota for 6 years ("Where?!" you ask?....EXACTLY), California for 7 years, and now I currently reside in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with my Husband and our beautiful Baby Girl.
As of September 1st, 2020 we have opened our very own Tattoo and Permanent Makeup shop.
I started this ambitious endeavor back in 2015 in California when I first applied to San Francisco's Cosmetology school to become an esthetician. I wanted to do it all! Facials, skin care, professional makeup, eyelash extensions, permanent makeup...all things esthetics!
Having found out my mom was diagnosed with cancer I was unable to complete my schooling as I moved to ND to take care of her.
Mom had 3 cancers in 3 years. Stage 3 Cervical, Stage 3 Colon, and Stage 1 (almost 2) Breast Cancer.
She fought the 1st 2 cancers like a champ, but when they diagnosed her with breast cancer, I watched the news knock the wind from her sails. The thought of losing her breasts was devastating. (She reluctantly elected to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction)
To some, losing a breast/s may not seem like a big deal if it will take away the cancer, & plastic surgery can help with reconstruction. To many others, it feels like you're losing a part of yourself or your womanhood. Reconstruction helps, but never looking like what we were born with, can make a person feel incomplete, self-conscious, & dare I say it ugly. (We know that's not true, but what we know can't change how someone else may feel.)
From that point on, I decided to change directions and went straight to permanent makeup and 3D nipple and areola reconstruction. A percentage of the money made from 3D nipple and areola reconstruction will go straight back to the Cancer Foundation.
Since doing permanent makeup and staying in the tattoo industry, I have also completed an Apprenticeship and am now also a Tattoo Artist. Living the best of both worlds, I am excited to be able to express my passion through art and cosmetic tattooing.
Create a positive, creative, and fun environment in my own Tattoo and Permanent Makeup studio where everyone can continue to grow and support each others artistic talents!
Connect with Oncologists & Plastic Surgeons to help their patients who have had or are going to have mastectomies by offering my services to restore or re-pigment areolas. A percentage of each clients’ procedure will be donated back to a Cancer Foundation.
Come see us for a free consult and I will answer any questions or concerns you have. Thank you for trusting me to enhance your cosmetic image! My work is something I take great pride in and I respect and appreciate your time and business.
I was born in North Carolina in 1994 and became a tattoo artist when I was 19 n the amazing state of Texas. I didn't always want to be a tattoo artist, although I've always been able to draw. I've always been a bit of a gypsy and have lived in any different states and have traveled to over half of them and two other countries. So traveling is a big part of my life.
I graduated from North Little Rock High School in 2013 and was on my way to becoming a movie director. I attended The Art Institute of Dallas studying film until I met my amazing husband. He taught me to tattoo and I haven't stopped since! I quickly dropped out of The Art Institute and pursued my talents in several states. I have tattooed in Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, California, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
I have no kids of my own bt I do have a 5 year old step-son named Jacob Rebel and a 2 year old pit-bull (which is basically a kid herself) named Lilith. I spend a majority of my time working and tattooing, but I have many interests outside of work. I enjoy nature, thrills, and having fun doing random silly things. Along with wanting to build myself and my family more, I also have big goals and dreams. I plan to be an international tattoo artist, traveling the world and sharing my art and talents. I also want to start an apprenticeship/charity program for teens in the foster system to give them creative outlets, teach them life and job skills, and provide them with a safe and nurturing environment.
I strive to give all of my customers a positive experience along with a beautiful piece of art they can proudly show off for life.
My name is Jacob Miller. I am happily married, I have a 5 year old son named Jacob, and a dog named Lilith that is more like my daughter than anything. I was born and raised in Texas in the suburbs of Dallas, a community where art was everywhere from walls in ally’s to buildings downtown, and where tattoos were socially accepted and everyone had them.
I fell in love with art when I was around 8 or 9 years old. I drew doodles and sketches, finished every coloring book, and always tried to figure out the best ways to design and create. I became interested in tattooing at a young age while following different tattoo artists and fell in love with the idea of giving someone a permanent piece of my art on them for them to enjoy forever.
I began experimenting on myself and creating different tattoos all over my own body finding out what works and what doesn’t.
At 19 I was accepted into a tattoo and body mods shop where I underwent an apprenticeship and learned the fine arts of tattooing and piercing. From there my whole world changed. I stepped in to the industry with an open mind and continued to learn SO much on the instruction of tattooing and it opened a chapter in my life where I wanted to excel and learn from everyone around me. I was on my way to establishing myself as a respected member of the tattoo community. My perspective changed from a kid to an adult when I learned that being able to tattoo is blessing.
My favorite style is dark and evil things in black or grey. I also enjoy color bomb new school designs that blows peoples mind. I also enjoy doing meaningful pieces on people who want something personal for special reasons. It makes me feel good to be apart of peoples lives knowing I made an impact on them forever, letting a memory be relived or a personal experience awakened every time they look at the art I’ve tattooed on them. It’s a rewarding feeling and it is something that I look forward to no matter how big or small, I know to the person getting the art that it means the world and I can relate.
I enjoy watching movies, traveling, going shopping with my wife and loud music. I’m a very family orientated person and believe in family time and revolve around my loved ones. I’m a caring person. I love animals and I am very outspoken. I say what I mean and mean what I say and I will always do what I say I’m going to do because that is a big belief of mine that a man should live by. I’ve been through a lot in life. Most of it very personal and hard to bring up, but it all built my character and made me the person I am today. I love myself the way I am and I believe everyone should as well. I look forward to progressing in my work and meeting new faces to help enjoy my art work. Hopefully I see you soon. -Jacob
