Korbin Kells
As of Oct 1st, 2026, Korbin has taken over Divergent Ink as the new owner with the intentions of providing the same level of customer service as we've provided the last 6 years. He graduated his apprenticeship under Liz and has shown EXCEPTIONAL workmanship and artistry as he continues to learn new styles of art to constantly improve to meet todays demands of the body art industry. With that being said, we intend to continue working with community and doing the fundraisers we have all grown to know and love.
Here's a little more about him!
Korbin was raised in the small town of Appleton, MN. Since the age of 12 he has had a passion for art and has used it to portray his meaning of life and to express emotions.
After high school, he obtained an associates degree in law enforcement and worked 4 years as a sheriff's deputy for a small Minnesota county.
He decided to move to Sioux Falls and pursue his true passion for art as a tattoo apprentice.
Since then, he had graduated to become a wonderful full time tattoo artist and Business owner. He enjoys all styles of tattooing, but his favorite is black and grey.

Where am I from and where have I been?
I was born and raised in Westhampton Beach, New York (Where my first job at the age of 13 was in a prestigious salon as a shampoo girl).
I lived in Minot, North Dakota for 6 years ("Where?!" you ask?....EXACTLY), California for 7 years, and now I currently reside in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with my Husband and our beautiful Baby Girls
As of September 1st, 2020 we have opened our very own Tattoo and Permanent Makeup shop.
My driving force
I started this ambitious endeavor back in 2015 in California when I first applied to San Francisco's Cosmetology school to become an esthetician. I wanted to do it all! Facials, skin care, professional makeup, eyelash extensions, permanent makeup...all things esthetics!
Having found out my mom was diagnosed with cancer I was unable to complete my schooling as I moved to ND to take care of her.
Mom had 3 cancers in 3 years. Stage 3 Cervical, Stage 3 Colon, and Stage 1 (almost 2) Breast Cancer.
She fought the 1st 2 cancers like a champ, but when they diagnosed her with breast cancer, I watched the news knock the wind from her sails. The thought of losing her breasts was devastating. (She reluctantly elected to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction)
To some, losing a breast/s may not seem like a big deal if it will take away the cancer, & plastic surgery can help with reconstruction. To many others, it feels like you're losing a part of yourself or your womanhood. Reconstruction helps, but never looking like what we were born with, can make a person feel incomplete, self-conscious, & dare I say it ugly. (We know that's not true, but what we know can't change how someone else may feel.)
From that point on, I decided to change directions and went straight to permanent makeup and 3D nipple and areola reconstruction. A percentage of the money made from 3D nipple and areola reconstruction will go straight back to the Cancer Foundation.
Since doing permanent makeup and staying in the tattoo industry, I have also completed an Apprenticeship and am now also a Tattoo Artist and the FIRST AND ONLY FIBROBLAST SKING TIGHTENING TECHNICIAN IN SOUTH DAKOTA. Living the best of all the worlds, I am excited to be able to express my passion through art, Plasma, and cosmetic tattooing.
My Mission
Create a positive, welcoming, creative, and fun environment in my own Tattoo, Fibroblast, and Permanent Makeup studio where everyone can continue to grow and support each others artistic talents!
Connect with Oncologists & Plastic Surgeons to help their patients who have had or are going to have mastectomies by offering my services to restore or re-pigment areolas. A percentage of each clients’ procedure will be donated back to a Cancer Foundation or to a local family battling cancer or expenses incurred from battling cancer.
Come see us for a free consult and I will answer any questions or concerns you have. Thank you for trusting me to enhance your cosmetic image! My work is something I take great pride in and I respect and appreciate your time and business.
